Poetry of Crises & Loss: A Conversation with Sudeep Sen

Periods of uncertainty and crisis have often spurred an outpouring of creativity. As we are faced with the strange realities of climate change and pandemic lockdowns, people are turning to art to find meaning and solace.

Join Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai for a conversation with poet and Columbia University alumnus, Sudeep Sen (Writer and Literary Editor, Columbia School of Journalism '89), author of a new collection of poems entitled Anthropocene: Climate Change, Contagion, Consolidation. The program will showcase the expressive styles and processes that poets are using to capture the zeitgeist of our times, and how poetry can be harnessed as a medium for creating spaces of solidarity, resilience, and healing.
