Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory Table feat. Professor Beizhan Yan
Professor Beizhan Yan, will introduce three major research areas related to micro- and nano-plastics (MNPs) at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University: 1) MNP environmental sources, distribution, and behaviors; 2) MNP exposure and possible health impacts; 3) Engineered solutions for mitigating plastic pollution in the real world. In addition, Professor Yan will answer questions raised by attendees and discuss with them how to mitigate MNP exposure.
