University Student Services Center

Visit the Student Services Center for any questions or issues regarding your Student ID, accessing the University Registrar, Transcript or Diploma information, etc.

Ombuds Office

The Ombuds Office helps promote civility, mutual respect and ethical conduct, and identifies ways to prevent disruptive conflict by alerting the administration to policy issues and to recommend changes in University practices.

International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO)

ISSO serves the immigration-related needs of Columbia’s international community, providing advisory and documentation services and information on a host of issues.

Office of University Chaplain

The Office of the University Chaplain designs and sponsors a variety of programs on matters of justice, faith, and spirituality for small and large campus groups.

Office of Disability Services

Disability Services (DS) provides accommodations and services to eligible students, both virtually and in-person, dependent upon the student’s location as well as the classroom setting

Student Financial Services

The Office of Student Financial Planning provides financial aid information and services for students in the Columbia Climate School.

Columbia University Life

Columbia University Life serves as a central resource for students, providing access to programs, events, initiatives, and support services that foster community and enhance the student experience across all schools.

Columbia Health

Columbia Health comprises more than 130 medical providers, dietitians, disability specialists, health educators, therapists, psychiatrists, peer counselors, student personnel, support staff, and administrative professionals. All programs and services provided by Columbia Health adhere to strict standards of confidentiality in compliance with State and Federal laws.

Dodge Fitness Center

Dodge Fitness Center features three floors of cardiovascular and strength equipment, a 160-meter indoor running track, an eight-lane 25-yard swimming pool, multi-sport gymnasia, and ten squash courts.

Office of Work/Life

Columbia University's Office of Work/Life fosters the well-being of the Columbia community and its people in their pursuit of meaningful and productive academic, personal, and work lives.

Housing 

Admitted students who have accepted the offer of admission are encouraged to make inquiries into housing options as early as possible. To apply for housing, complete the Columbia Residential application by the deadline indicated in your letter of admission. To apply, you will first need to successfully activate your UNI. For more information about university housing, see the Columbia Residential website. Because Columbia housing is extremely limited, we strongly encourage you to research the Off-Campus Housing Marketplace

Columbia Global Travel

Global Travel offers support for university-affiliated international travel, including pre-trip planning, travel registration, risk assessment, emergency assistance, and policy guidance to ensure the health, safety, and compliance of students, faculty, and staff abroad.

Students | Columbia Travel & Expense

The Student Travel Finance portal provides guidance on using Concur for pre-trip approvals, travel bookings, and expense reporting, along with relevant policies and emergency support resources.

About

The Columbia Climate Graduate Council (CCGC) serves as a channel of communication between the graduate students at the Climate School and related offices. The CCGC fulfills this role through advocacy and productive dialogue with this network and its constituents. 

Elections are held annually in September. View our Constitution and Bylaws.

Purpose

The CCGC is tasked with the responsibility of: 

  • To represent and be an advocate for the graduate student body of the Columbia Climate School to the Climate School administration and Columbia University
  • To provide a structure for graduate students to work to achieve collective progress and development
  • To create and maintain ongoing dialogue with the Dean
  • To serve as a channel of communication between the graduate students and other individuals and groups external to the Columbia Climate School graduate student body
  • To build and strengthen the community of graduate students in the school
  • To foster cultural diversity and an improved quality of life through cultural initiates to improve the quality of life of all Climate School students
  • To appropriate allocated funds of students-activities fees
  • To maintain communication with alumni, alumni organizations, and career services
